Denpasar — The Bali Chamber of Commerce and Industry called on the central government to evaluate and revise the Online Single Submission (OSS) business-licensing system at a provincial leadership meeting on September 24, 2026.

Why it matters: Businesses and foreign investors in Bali may be affected if the central government later changes OSS licensing or strengthens oversight, but no implementation date has been announced.

Kadin Bali chairman I Made Ariandi said the issue was among the matters raised at the meeting, which gathered input and strategies from regional chapters ahead of the national chamber’s meeting, according to Bali Post.

The chamber’s call concerns the implementation of Indonesia’s digital licensing platform, which is used by businesses to apply for business identification numbers and permits. The official OSS platform describes itself as a system for managing businesses through a business identification number.

Investment oversight also raised

Separately, NusaBali reported that Kadin Bali urged tighter supervision of investment, including foreign investment, and called for stronger oversight of OSS. The report said Ariandi identified the Rp10 billion foreign-investment threshold in OSS as a potential loophole if supervision is weak.

Kadin Bali also proposed investment policies focused on projects that add value, involve local businesses and reflect investors’ actual activities, according to NusaBali.

The reports describe requests for evaluation, revision and tighter oversight. They do not report a central-government decision changing the OSS system or a date for new rules to take effect.
