Mangupura — Mobile services for renewing active A and C driving licences are operating Thursday, Oct. 15, in Badung, Tabanan, Buleleng and Klungkung, with locations opening from 08:00 WITA (UTC+8).

The service is provided through the local resort police departments, known in Indonesia as Polres, and is intended for renewals rather than new licence applications. The listed Badung sites are the fire department post east of Dalung Market and the Badung public-service mall. In Tabanan, the service is at Kurnia Seafood in Beraban; in Buleleng, at Kekeran village in Busungbiu; and in Klungkung, outside the regent’s office.

Hours vary by location. Badung is listed from 08:00 to 13:00 WITA, while Tabanan and Buleleng begin at 08:00 WITA and continue until service ends. Klungkung begins at 08:30 WITA and continues until service ends.

Why it matters to readers

For foreign residents and visitors who hold Indonesian driving licences, the mobile service offers renewal points outside the standard SIM administration offices. The service covers SIM A for cars and SIM C for motorcycles, but only when the licence remains active. A licence that has expired cannot be renewed through this mobile service, according to the reports.

The reports say applicants must bring a photocopy of an electronic identity card, a photocopy of the existing active licence, and health and psychological certificates. The stated renewal fees are IDR 80,000 (about US$5) for SIM A and IDR 75,000 (about US$5) for SIM C.

The schedule is subject to sudden changes. The reports direct readers to the official traffic directorate of the Bali Regional Police and the relevant local police departments for the latest schedule. Applicants can use the listed locations and operating hours to identify a renewal point in the four regencies, while checking the latest information before travelling because hours differ between sites and the schedule may change suddenly.
