Singaraja — Buleleng Regent I Nyoman Sutjidra said on Oct. 14 that Bali’s fuel supply was secured through Oct. 15, even as vehicle queues continued at several filling stations in Singaraja, Buleleng Regency.

The regent said additional fuel shipments from Pertamina were scheduled after Oct. 15. The assurance came as residents continued waiting for fuel at stations across the city, while authorities worked to keep essential public services operating.

Why the fuel queues matter to visitors and residents

For foreign residents and visitors, the disruption means that travel by private car, motorcycle or hired vehicle may take longer than usual because refuelling can require extended waits. The reports describe queues at several stations, but do not state that Bali’s fuel supply had run out. The reported assurance covered Bali rather than only Singaraja.

The situation followed shortages or limited availability at some stations and prompted concern among motorists. Buleleng officials urged residents not to engage in panic buying while maintaining that supplies remained sufficient for the immediate period. The statement attributed the continuing availability to fuel already in the distribution system and to further deliveries planned by Pertamina, Indonesia’s state-owned energy company.

A separate report on Oct. 15 said queues were still visible at several stations in Buleleng, including Giri Emas, Penarukan, Gajah Mada, Ahmad Yani and Banyuasri, although local officials described conditions as improving. The same report repeated the assurance that Bali’s supply was sufficient through Oct. 15 and that more fuel would arrive afterward.

The reports do not provide a precise timetable for when queues in Singaraja would end. They indicate that the immediate supply assurance depended on continued deliveries and distribution to individual stations.
