Denpasar — Bali Police Chief Pasma Royce said on Thursday, October 22, 2026, that the police would collaborate with immigration authorities on law enforcement and violations involving foreign nationals in Bali.
Why it matters: Foreign nationals in Bali may be affected by future police-immigration discussions on law enforcement and violations, but no new visa rule or deadline was announced.
Royce made the statement after meeting officials of the Bali chapter of Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia (PHDI), the Indonesian Hindu organisation, at its office in Denpasar. The meeting addressed public security issues, including the handling of foreign nationals who breach regulations, according to NusaBali.
Royce described the immigration collaboration as a future agenda and said the two agencies would discuss several enforcement-related matters. The meeting also covered other social issues, including drug control.
A separate report on a September 25, 2026, briefing by Bali Police to a parliamentary commission said foreign nationals had been involved as suspects in 161 cases during 2026, involving 182 people. The figure was presented in the context of the police’s wider law-enforcement performance and is separate from the October 22 meeting.
Immigration authorities have also conducted joint enforcement operations in Bali. The Directorate General of Immigration said Ngurah Rai Immigration Office deported 18 foreign nationals during September 21–27, following immigration patrols and a joint operation with Bali Police on September 17.
The October meeting produced a stated plan for further discussions between Bali Police and immigration authorities; the reports did not announce a new visa rule or enforcement deadline.
