Sanur — Bali Tech Week 2026 opened on Oct. 19 at the Bali Beach Convention Center, bringing 13 technology-related activities to the resort area through Oct. 23. The programme focuses on strengthening Indonesia’s digital ecosystem, opening investment opportunities and gathering industry input for digital regulation.
The event combines conferences and activities on connectivity, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, gaming, digital finance, startups and investment. Government officials said the week is intended not only to connect investors with technology companies but also to create a forum for industry feedback as digital rules are developed.
Why Bali Tech Week matters to foreign investors and visitors
For foreign investors, the event places regulatory predictability alongside technology and capital. The policy discussions are aimed at helping the government understand industry concerns before issuing rules, while the investment programme presents Indonesia’s digital economy as an area for partnerships and growth. Foreign visitors attending the event can expect a concentrated programme rather than a single conference, with sessions spanning infrastructure, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, gaming and financial technology.
The 13 activities include BTW Con, the Telkom Sovereign Tech Summit, HUB.ID Summit, Indonesia Game Developer Exchange 2026, KORIKA AIIS 2026, ITSEC AICX 2026, Tokocrypto Digital Summit, Digital Economy Policy Forum, Endeavor Global Forum, Bali Capital Circle, Foundry Collective Incubator Launch, Sira Village Excursion Trip and UDImpact.
The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, Indonesia’s national ministry responsible for digital policy and communications, described the week as a platform for collaboration, investment and broader economic benefits. Its opening-day programme began with “Connect the Nation,” focused on connectivity and infrastructure as foundations for more evenly distributed digital transformation.
