Denpasar — Bali is forecast to be mostly clear or partly cloudy on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, with temperatures ranging from 19 to 33 degrees Celsius. BMKG also forecasts waves of up to 3.0 metres in waters south of Bali.
The forecast covers the island through Friday morning. Bali Post reported that no regency or city was under a rain warning, from light to extreme rain, between 8 a.m. WITA (UTC+8) on Thursday and 8 a.m. WITA on Friday. Detik reported clear conditions in Denpasar, with temperatures of 25–33°C.
Why southern waters matter to Bali visitors
The wave forecast is relevant to ferry operators, fishermen and visitors using smaller vessels or joining activities in southern waters. Bali Post reported that ferry operations could face risk when wind reaches 21 knots and waves reach 2.5 metres. For fishermen, it identified a risk threshold of 15 knots with waves reaching 1.25 metres.
The agency behind the forecast, the Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG), also forecast winds from the east to southeast at 4–24 kilometres per hour. The reported sea conditions ranged from 0.5 to 1.25 metres in northern Bali waters and from 0.5 to 3.0 metres in southern Bali waters.
Local conditions vary by area. Detik listed clear or partly cloudy forecasts across Bali’s regencies and cities, while Denpasar was listed as clear. The reports did not state a ferry cancellation or a broader closure.
