Denpasar — Bali is forecast to be mostly cloudy on Friday, Oct. 16, 2026, with temperatures from 20–33 degrees Celsius and no district or city under a rain warning from 08:00 WITA (UTC+8) that day until 08:00 WITA on Saturday, Oct. 17, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency, known as BMKG.
The forecast also puts wave heights in the waters south of Bali at up to 2,0 metres. BMKG warned that conditions can pose risks to ferry vessels when wind speeds reach 21 knots and waves reach 2,5 metres, while fishing boats face risks at 15 knots and waves of 1,25 metres.
Why the forecast matters to Bali travellers
For visitors, the outlook points to generally cloudy conditions on land but potentially more consequential conditions at sea. Ferry operators and fishing crews are the groups directly identified in the warning, while travellers using marine connections may encounter operational risks if wind and wave conditions increase.
BMKG is Indonesia’s national weather agency. Its forecast identified east-southeast winds moving at 4–36 kilometres per hour across Bali. The report did not identify a specific district or city for rain warnings during the stated 24-hour period.
The forecast applies to Friday, Oct. 16, and the warning window ends at 08:00 WITA on Oct. 17. The cited report does not state any subsequent change, closure or additional action.
