Kuta Selatan — Hundreds of delegates from more than 30 countries gathered at The Apurva Kempinski Bali on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, for the sixth International Zero Suicide Summit. The meeting, held in Kuta Selatan, Badung, continues through Wednesday, Oct. 14.

The summit brings together leaders in health services, academics, researchers, policymakers and mental-health practitioners for discussions on suicide prevention. Indonesia is hosting the international meeting for the first time.

Why it matters to Bali’s health and tourism sectors

The event places Bali at the center of an international discussion about suicide prevention while bringing a large professional gathering to Badung. Its program includes plenary sessions, panel discussions and scientific poster presentations focused on sharing experience and strengthening coordinated, sustainable prevention efforts.

The summit’s theme is “Turning the Tide Toward Zero.” The official event information describes the gathering as a forum for leaders, clinicians, advocates and people with lived experience to exchange knowledge and advance suicide-prevention work worldwide. Conference sessions are scheduled for Oct. 13 and Oct. 14, following a welcome reception and dinner on Oct. 12.

For visitors and foreign residents in Bali, the practical significance is that the meeting is a professional health conference rather than a public festival or tourism event. Programming is taking place at The Apurva Kempinski Bali in the Nusa Dua area of Badung, with international participants attending through the second day on Wednesday.
