Pelaga Eco Park — A landslide struck the glamping property late on 1 November 2026, leaving two visitors missing and prompting a search operation on 2 November, according to Bali’s Search and Rescue Office and local reports.
Why it matters: Two visitors remained missing after a landslide at a Bali glamping property, while 21 of 23 guests were evacuated and a multi-agency search continued.
Heavy rain in Pelaga triggered the landslide at about 11 p.m., burying an accommodation unit occupied by the two visitors. One was identified as Bangkit Mubarok, a 30-year-old Indonesian man; the other was identified in local reporting as a foreign national whose identity had not been confirmed.
Resort staff, the Badung Disaster Mitigation Agency, local officials and police began the initial search. The operation was temporarily halted because persistent rain and the steep access road created risks for rescuers, according to the Jakarta Globe and Bali Post.
The National Search and Rescue Agency dispatched nine personnel from its Jimbaran post after receiving an emergency report at 6:10 a.m. on 2 November. Search teams were expected to adjust the operation to weather and site conditions, with rescuer safety treated as a priority.
Local reporting said the property had 23 guests at the time of the incident, with 21 evacuated. Four glamping structures were affected, including one that was swept into a nearby river, according to Bali Post.
Badung Regent I Wayan Adi Arnawa and Bali Deputy Governor I Nyoman Giri Prasta visited the site on 2 November. Authorities said the search would continue for up to seven days before further evaluation and coordination with the victims’ families.
