Mobile blood donation drive held at Sesetan church in Denpasar

Denpasar and Bangli — A mobile blood donation drive is scheduled today at a church on Jalan Raya Sesetan in Denpasar, as part of a week-long programme of donor events coordinated by the Bali provincial blood transfusion unit.

According to a schedule published by the provincial Red Cross blood unit and reported by a local daily on 20 September, the drive at a church on Jalan Raya Sesetan is one of several mobile locations in Denpasar and surrounding areas where residents can give blood during the week of 20–26 September 2026.

The church event on Jalan Raya Sesetan is listed for Sunday, 20 September, with the venue identified as a Swiss church on Jalan Raya Sesetan 221 ABC and the activity taking place around midday. The same weekly schedule includes other mobile donor sites at churches, hospitals, workplaces and public spaces across the city.

The programme is operated by the provincial unit of the Indonesian Red Cross blood service, which organises regular mobile drives in addition to accepting walk-in donors at its central facility in Denpasar. The unit’s website states that blood donations can be made every day at the centre from morning until evening, with blood supply services available 24 hours to meet hospital demand.

The weekly mobile schedule aims to make donation more accessible by bringing collection teams closer to communities, workplaces and congregations. Locations change from week to week, with churches, mosques, private companies, schools and shopping centres among the regular hosts.

While the weekly list published for 20–26 September highlights Denpasar-area venues, the provincial blood service also works with district units in other regencies to organise drives outside the capital. These mobile activities are intended to help maintain stable stocks of all blood types for hospitals and clinics across Bali.

Residents, expatriates and visitors who meet the health criteria for donation are encouraged by the Red Cross unit to take part in mobile drives or visit the provincial centre direct. The unit advises prospective donors to ensure they are well-rested, have eaten, and are not taking certain medications before giving blood, and to bring official identification when registering.

Further mobile donor schedules for subsequent weeks are typically published shortly before each programme period, allowing community members to check dates, times and locations in advance.
