Nusa Dua — The 30th Indonesia Rendezvous, an annual insurance and reinsurance forum organized by the Indonesian General Insurance Association, brought 873 participants from 22 countries to Nusa Dua, Badung, Bali, for a four-day event from Oct. 12 to Oct. 15, 2026.
The gathering examined pressures facing the global insurance industry, including geopolitical and macroeconomic risks, climate change, cyber threats and pandemic-related risks. The forum’s 2026 participation exceeded the previous edition, which included representatives from 20 countries.
Why 873 participants from 22 countries matter to Bali
For Bali, the forum underscores Nusa Dua’s role as a venue for international business meetings beyond tourism and hospitality. It also brought insurers, reinsurers, regulators and business partners into discussions about risks that can affect companies and households across borders.
The association said the event’s international participation included representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Australia, Bahrain, Belarus, Switzerland, China, Cyprus, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, South Korea, Mongolia, Malaysia, Nigeria, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and the United States.
For foreign visitors and residents, the discussions are relevant because insurance availability and pricing can be shaped by global events rather than only local conditions. Climate-related losses, cyber incidents, economic volatility and public-health emergencies can influence the protection offered for travel, property, business activity and other risks.
The forum’s 30th edition was held under the theme “Building Confidence: Driving Sustainable Growth and Resilience in the Insurance & Reinsurance Landscape.”
