Pura Samuantiga — Pura Samuantiga will hold its annual pujawali from Friday, 9 October 2026, through Monday, 12 October, with the main ceremony on Saturday, 10 October, at the temple in Bedulu, Gianyar.
Why it matters: Visitors planning to visit Pura Samuantiga should note scheduled worship and performances from 9 to 12 October 2026, including the main ceremony on 10 October.
The opening rites on 9 October include ngeratep and melaspas ceremonies for the restored and recoloured tapakan, or sacred ceremonial representations, of Ida Bhatara Ratu Agung Sakti, according to Bali Post.
The three-day nyejer observance involves more than 10 tapakan from five customary villages that maintain the temple: Bedulu, Tengkulak Kaja, Tengkulak Tengah, Taman and Wanayu Mas.
Schedule
The main pujawali begins at 9 a.m. Central Indonesia Time on 10 October and continues into the evening. Worship is scheduled for residents of Tengkulak Kelod, Tengkulak Tengah and Tengkulak Kaja, as well as general worshippers.
On Sunday, 11 October, prayers are scheduled for residents of Bedulu, Tegallinggah, Margasengkala and Hyang Loni in Buruan, together with the wider public. A Calonarang performance is scheduled for 8 p.m. that evening after an offering ceremony at 6 p.m.
The final day, Monday, 12 October, includes Penganyaran and Nyidakarya ceremonies at 4 p.m., followed by the lowering of the sacred tapakan and the presentation of pesegeh before the tapakan return to their respective shrines.
The main pujawali coincides with Tumpek Wayang on 10 October, a Balinese observance associated with wayang performance arts. The published schedule identifies worship periods for specific customary communities and general worshippers during the ceremony.
