Siloam Hospitals Bali Gets Magnet With Distinction Recognition

Denpasar — Siloam Hospitals Bali has been recognised with Magnet® with Distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, becoming the first hospital in Bali to receive the designation, according to RRI and the ANCC’s August 2026 list of new Magnet organisations.

The recognition is part of the Magnet Recognition Program®, which ANCC describes as a nursing-excellence designation based on measurable performance in nursing practice, patient outcomes and the work environment for nurses. ANCC says Magnet with Distinction is the program’s highest level and is reserved for top-performing Magnet organisations.

RRI reported on Aug. 26, 2026, that the Bali hospital’s award adds to the Siloam network’s tally of Magnet-recognised facilities. ANCC’s own list for August 2026 includes Siloam Hospitals Bali (SHDP), Badung, Indonesia, and marks it as a Magnet with Distinction recipient.

In the report, Siloam Hospitals Bali Hospital Director dr. Ni Gusti Ayu Putri Mayuni said the recognition reflects a commitment to safety, quality and patient experience. Head of Nursing Ns. Nyoman Armita said it validates efforts in evidence-based nursing, patient safety and professional development, according to RRI.

What Magnet with Distinction means

ANCC says Magnet with Distinction recognises organisations that exceed the scoring thresholds for Magnet status. The designation is based on validated empirical data and is intended to highlight exceptional nursing performance, leadership and patient outcomes.

The recognition does not by itself change licensing rules, staffing regulation or hospital accreditation requirements. It is an external quality distinction focused on nursing systems and clinical performance.

Why it matters

For patients, the award is intended to signal stronger nursing standards, safer care processes and more consistent service delivery. For hospitals, it can also serve as an international benchmark in recruitment, professional development and quality improvement.

Indonesia’s inclusion on ANCC’s August 2026 Magnet list shows that the Siloam Bali designation is part of a broader regional pattern in which the group has expanded its Magnet-recognised hospitals. ANCC’s list also identifies Siloam Hospitals Semanggi in Jakarta Selatan as a Magnet with Distinction recipient.

Siloam Hospitals Bali is located in Badung, on the edge of Bali’s main tourism corridor, where healthcare quality is increasingly relevant for residents, expatriates and visitors. The recognition may strengthen the hospital’s profile among patients seeking internationally benchmarked nursing care.
