Tawur Agung at Pura Hulundanu Batur Draws Thousands

Kintamani — The Tawur Agung Manca Wali Krama at Tri Kahyangan Jagat Pura Hulundanu Batur in Desa Adat Songan, Bangli, drew thousands of worshipers on Sept. 21. The purification ceremony, held beside Lake Batur, was led by 13 sulinggih, or Hindu religious priests.

The ceremony is part of a larger religious observance at the temple, whose principal work is scheduled to reach its peak on Sept. 26, 2026. The sequence is set to end with penyineban, the closing ritual, on Oct. 6, 2026.

The ceremony connects religious observance with Lake Batur

Pura Hulundanu Batur is one of the Tri Kahyangan Jagat temples in Songan, a customary village in Kintamani, Bangli.
