Bali’s latest official tourism data show that the province publishes monthly room-occupancy figures for classified hotels, giving visitors, businesses and policymakers a current measure of hotel demand. The July 2026 release is the latest identified dataset, but the available search material does not provide its individual occupancy percentages.

What does Bali’s hotel occupancy data measure?

The Bali Government Tourism Office identifies room occupancy as a 2026 indicator for classified hotels. The accompanying spreadsheet describes the measure as the “room occupancy rate of classified hotel in Bali” and separates the monthly observations from the annual average, according to the Bali Government Tourism Office, 2026.

How often are the figures updated?

The tourism office publishes the data through monthly statistical releases. Its July 2026 release was dated September 2, 2026, while the office’s statistics page lists releases for January through May 2026 and identifies later monthly data, according to the Bali Government Tourism Office, 2026.

Who produces the underlying statistics?

The spreadsheet names the Central Statistics Agency and the Bali Government Tourism Office as sources. BPS-Statistics Indonesia Bali also defines its tourism statistics scope as including visitor activity, overnight stays, tourism-industry activity and infrastructure, according to BPS-Statistics Indonesia Bali Province, 2025.

Can occupancy figures be compared with tourist arrivals?

They measure different parts of tourism demand. BPS describes tourism statistics as covering arrivals and overnight stays as well as tourism-industry activity, while the Bali tourism office presents room occupancy as a hotel indicator; therefore, an arrivals figure should not be treated as the same measure as occupied hotel rooms.

Where can readers find the official series?

The Bali Government Tourism Office’s official statistics-release page provides the July 2026 release, and its data-statistics page lists the broader 2026 series. BPS-Statistics Indonesia Bali maintains a separate tourism statistics section, according to both institutions’ published pages.
