Bali governor hands St. Regis CSR grants to arts and customary groups

Bali Governor Wayan Koster handed over St. Regis corporate social responsibility grants on October 1 to arts groups, customary organisations and temple custodians, including recipients in Buleleng.

Jaya Sabha — Bali Governor Wayan Koster symbolically handed over corporate social responsibility support from The St. Regis Bali Resort Nusa Dua Group to arts groups, customary organisations and temple custodians on October 1, 2026.

Why it matters: Selected arts groups, customary organisations and temple custodians received grants ranging from 50 million to 350 million rupiah for designated cultural activities.

The handover took place at Jaya Sabha in Denpasar, according to Bali Post. The support is intended to assist customary activities, traditional arts and cultural preservation in villages and communities across Bali.

Recipients included groups from Buleleng Regency, among them Br. Adat Bukit Seni in Sembiran Village; Sekehe Angklung Genta Kencana in Bengkel Village, Busungbiu; and Sekaa Baris Buleleng in Pacung Traditional Village, Tejakula, Bali Post reported.

Other Buleleng recipients were Sekaa Teruna Semeton Dukuh Kauh and the Karang Wreda Samirana Santhi uniform-procurement group in Sembiran; Sekaa Gambuh in Pacung Traditional Village; and the custodians of Pura Merajan Bengkel Buleleng Bendesa Mas in Bengkel Village.

The value of each grant varied according to the recipient's needs and intended use, ranging from 50 million to 350 million Indonesian rupiah. Koster asked recipients to use the assistance for its designated purpose, according to the report.

The Bali provincial government described the handover as a collaboration between business, government and communities to sustain Balinese traditional arts and cultural activities.
