Jimbaran — — AYANA Bali will begin commercial operations at its new Grand Ballroom and expanded events complex on September 1, 2026, the resort said, with bookings already open for late 2026 and 2027.
The new ballroom is designed by Gensler and spans 1,850 square meters of pillarless space with a 9-meter ceiling, according to the resort’s press release and meetings pages. AYANA says the venue can host up to 2,300 seated guests and is intended for conventions, corporate summits, incentive programs, destination weddings, gala dinners and brand events.
Event capacity and facilities
AYANA’s meetings pages say the Grand Ballroom has theater capacity for 2,300 people and banquet or round-table capacity for 1,260, with separate figures for cocktail and reception layouts. The venue listing also describes built-in LED and production audiovisual equipment.
The broader events complex is part of AYANA Bali’s integrated estate in Jimbaran, which the resort says includes close to 1,000 guestrooms across its hotel portfolio. The meetings pages identify the complex as opening in Fall 2026 and note that adjacent venues are meant to support registration, breakouts, catering and networking within the same resort campus.
AYANA also says the ballroom is linked to other event spaces, including open-air terraces and a rooftop lawn overlooking the Indian Ocean, giving planners indoor and outdoor options for receptions and evening programs. The resort’s materials present the property as a single-estate meetings destination rather than a stand-alone ballroom.
Bookings open ahead of launch
The resort’s support page says the ballroom expansion is scheduled for completion by September 1, 2026, and that events can be booked from that date onward. Its press release says inquiries and bookings are already being accepted, with early interest for the fourth quarter of 2026 and 2027.
AYANA’s meetings pages also list multiple event areas across the estate, reinforcing its positioning for conferences, summits and weddings that require both large halls and breakout capacity. The resort’s published materials place the Grand Ballroom within a larger network of oceanfront and garden venues at the Jimbaran property.
Single-estate resort model
AYANA says its Jimbaran estate spans about 90 hectares and includes AYANA Resort Bali, AYANA Segara Bali, AYANA Villas Bali and RIMBA by AYANA Bali. The resort also says the campus includes 31 dining venues, 14 swimming pools and AYANA Spa.
For planners, the appeal is straightforward: large-scale events can be staged with accommodation, dining and recreation concentrated in one resort complex, reducing the need to move guests between separate venues. The first events after the September opening will show how the ballroom performs in practice for acoustics, service flow and outdoor program planning.
AYANA’s published materials also say the estate is about a 30-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport. The resort markets the ballroom and its surrounding spaces as a major addition to Bali’s MICE and wedding inventory.
