Denpasar — Bali calendar guidance identifies Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, as Redite Wage Wayang and lists several activities as unsuitable, while classifying Sedana Yoga as favourable for beginning trading activities.

The guidance, published by Detik Bali and also reported by Tribun Bali and JPNN Bali, is based on the Balinese ala ayuning dewasa tradition, which assesses whether particular days are considered suitable for specific activities. The reports describe the calendar as a reference for customary and ritual planning, not as a general legal restriction.

Why it matters for visitors and foreign residents

For a foreign visitor or resident, the practical effect is cultural and scheduling-related. The reports say the day is considered unsuitable for weddings, cremation rites and building a house under Carik Walangati. They also identify starting work, moving, or travelling as unsuitable under Kala Dangu. These classifications may help explain why some ceremonies, construction decisions or commercial openings are arranged on different dates, although the reports do not state that the calendar creates enforceable rules for visitors.

The same guidance identifies Sedana Yoga as favourable for making trading equipment, establishing a place of business and starting sales, with the belief that doing so may bring prosperity. Other entries include restrictions on making sok and similar items, planting or harvesting plants, and picking fruit. The reports present these as interpretations of the Balinese calendar for Redite Wage Wayang on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026.

Tribun Bali describes the date as a Sunday and gives the same Balinese day designation. JPNN Bali separately reports that the day is considered favourable for selling, while Detik Bali provides the broader list of activities regarded as suitable or unsuitable. The reports do not state any later change or official enforcement measure.
