Bali’s economy grew 5.82 percent in 2025, while the province recorded a 3.42 percent poverty rate and a 1.45 percent open-unemployment rate. The figures indicate broad improvement in several headline indicators, but they describe provincial outcomes rather than how every household, sector or regency performed.

How fast did Bali’s economy grow?

Bali’s economy grew 5.82 percent in 2025, up from 5.48 percent in 2024, according to the Bali provincial government citing Statistics Indonesia data released on 5 February 2026. The government said this was Bali’s highest growth rate in seven years.

Per-capita income reached Rp72.66 million in 2025, compared with Rp67.32 million in 2024, according to the same provincial-government report. These are aggregate indicators and do not mean every resident received that amount.

Did poverty and inequality fall?

The poverty rate was 3.42 percent in 2025, down from 3.80 percent in 2024, according to the Bali provincial government’s summary of Statistics Indonesia data. The same report gives Bali’s 2025 Gini ratio as 0.333, compared with 0.348 in 2024.

The Gini ratio is an inequality measure: a lower figure indicates less measured inequality, but it does not show the income or living conditions of individual families.

What happened to unemployment?

Bali’s open-unemployment rate was 1.45 percent in 2025, down from 1.79 percent in 2024, according to the Bali provincial government’s report. The rate measures the share of the labour force classified as unemployed under the statistical definition; it is not the same as the share of all residents without work.

Did living standards improve?

Bali’s Human Development Index reached 79.37 in 2025, up from 78.63 in 2024, according to the provincial government. The index combines dimensions related to health, education and living standards.

Life expectancy at birth reached 75.46 years in 2025, compared with 75.10 years in 2024, according to the same report. Bali’s Statistics Indonesia office separately publishes the province’s 2025 statistical tables and the Bali Province in Figures 2025 publication, providing the official statistical reference for provincial conditions.
