Giri Nata Mandala Cultural Field — The Bali and Badung chapters of the Family Welfare Movement held the eighth “Shopping and Sharing” public market on Friday, October 9, 2026, at the Giri Nata Mandala Cultural Field in Badung’s government centre.
Why it matters: The event gave 131 local businesses access to consumers and provided food assistance to 100 economically vulnerable Badung residents.
The event brought together 131 local businesses: 39 micro, small and medium enterprises, 28 agricultural and processed-food producers, and 64 culinary businesses, according to Bali Post and Bali Tribune. Organisers said the market was designed to promote local products and shorten distribution channels, allowing producers to benefit more directly from sales.
The event also distributed food assistance to 100 economically vulnerable residents from six areas of Badung, Bali Post reported.
Local producers and social assistance
The market combined support for small businesses with a social-assistance programme. The participating businesses displayed their products for consumers, while the food distribution targeted residents identified as being in need.
Bali Tribune reported that the event was organised jointly by the Bali provincial and Badung regency Family Welfare Movement teams. The market was held at the same location as the eighth 2026 edition of the “Shopping and Sharing” programme.
