Denpasar — Bali’s Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded nine forest and land fires among 16 disaster incidents reported across Bali from Sept. 28 to Oct. 4, 2026, according to a report issued Monday, Oct. 5.
The incidents also included five fires involving buildings and settlements and two extreme-weather events. BPBD Bali said all 16 incidents had received handling, while the overall situation remained under control, with no deaths or mass impact reported.
Why Bali’s weekly fire figures matter to residents and visitors
For foreign residents and visitors, the report provides a snapshot of local emergency conditions during the reporting period rather than a forecast or a provincewide restriction. It records incidents across Bali and identifies fires affecting forests and land as the largest category.
Buleleng recorded the highest number of incidents, with six. Karangasem recorded three and Badung two. Tabanan, Denpasar, Gianyar, Klungkung and Bangli each recorded one incident, according to BPBD Bali.
The agency’s report covers the seven-day period from Sept. 28 through Oct. 4. Its assessment that conditions were controlled means the reported incidents had received response and that officials did not report a mass impact or fatalities during that period. The report does not state that every area of Bali faced the same level of risk, nor does it announce a closure or a change to visitor rules.
