Denpasar — Bali’s Regional Disaster Management Agency reported 30 dry-season-related disasters and emergency conditions from September 21 to September 27, 2026, in its latest weekly situation report issued on September 27.

Why it matters: The update records 30 incidents and 146,000 litres of clean-water distribution across four regencies during the week ending September 27, 2026.

The agency said the situation remained under control and had not produced a mass impact. The incidents comprised 15 forest and land fires, nine building and settlement fires, five extreme-weather events and one fallen tree, according to Bali Post’s report citing BPBD Bali chief executive I Gede Teja.

The report said Buleleng recorded the highest number of incidents, with 13 locations. BPBD Bali and other agencies also distributed 146,000 litres of clean water during the week to areas experiencing water needs.

Water distribution continued across four regencies

The distribution covered Jembrana with 68,000 litres, Buleleng with 38,000 litres, Tabanan with 25,000 litres and Klungkung with 15,000 litres.

BPBD Bali has identified forest and land fires, fires at waste-processing sites, disruption to agricultural production and fires affecting homes and settlements among the main risks associated with the 2026 dry-season peak, according to national public broadcaster RRI.

Earlier in September, BPBD Bali reported that the prolonged, dry conditions had increased the risk of drought and fires. The agency’s September 27 update provides the latest reported weekly incident count and water-distribution figure.
