Jakarta — Bank Indonesia’s Bali representative office supported dozens of local micro, small and medium-sized enterprises at Karya Kreatif Indonesia (KKI) 2026, combining on-site participation at the Jakarta International Convention Center with wider online exposure and hybrid business-matching sessions.

According to the Bali-based outlet Gatra Bali, 14 Bali UMKM partners of the central bank’s regional office took part in person at the exhibition, while 45 joined through the KKI digital platform, which showcases curated products from across Indonesia. KKI 2026 itself brought together more than 550 UMKM offline and over 1,300 online from all provinces, according to Bank Indonesia’s national programme materials and several media reports.

Gatra Bali reported that the Bali participants covered culture-based and consumer sectors, including wastra textile businesses, jewellery makers, accessories, a tourism village and processed food and beverage producers using a retail-store system. The same report said that 18 Bali UMKM joined hybrid business-matching sessions designed to link entrepreneurs with potential partners and new markets.

Bali UMKM seek broader markets

Among the Bali brands highlighted by Gatra Bali were Fortuna Songket Sidemen, which showcased Balinese songket woven textiles, and Akasa Coffee, Padma Herbal and Rotenbi, which were selected for a Nusantara Gift package concept. Local lifestyle outlet Bali Ilu described the exhibition as a platform to “strengthen and preserve Balinese culture” while pushing creative products into national and international markets.

Bali Ilu noted that the KKI 2026 exhibition at Hall A and Hall B of JICC featured more than 550 UMKM offline and more than 1,300 online, with curated products ranging from traditional textiles and ready-to-wear fashion to home décor, accessories, beauty and body care, and regional food and beverages. Bank Indonesia’s national materials framed KKI as part of an annual effort to build UMKM resilience, expand financing access, accelerate digitalisation and open new market channels.

Gatra Bali reported that the business-matching component was intended to connect Bali entrepreneurs with potential buyers, investors and partners, opening opportunities for wider distribution.

National showcase and competition programme

KKI 2026 was held from 20 to 23 August 2026 at the Jakarta International Convention Center in Senayan, with activities running from morning to evening each day. National coverage and government statements indicated that the programme included product exhibitions, seminars, talk shows, business-matching sessions and creative competitions.

The Ministry of Creative Economy highlighted a series of 44 activities during KKI 2026, including national seminars, thematic talk shows, the Cangkir Nusantara and Championship Cangkir Barista competitions, textile and fashion showcases and a business-matching programme linked to a broader initiative to connect UMKM with corporate value chains.

Bank Indonesia’s national communications stated that KKI 2026 involved cooperation between BI, ministries and institutions and numerous strategic partners to support UMKM capacity building, financing and market access. Media reports citing BI data put total KKI 2026 participation at around 1,860 UMKM offline and online combined.

Transactions and macro context

At the national level, Bank Indonesia and several media outlets reported that UMKM sales during KKI 2026 reached about Rp177.21 billion over the four-day event, up from roughly Rp130.84 billion in 2025. Separate BI communications linked KKI’s business-matching and capacity-building efforts to the goal of strengthening inclusive, sustainable economic growth.

Regional macroeconomic figures for Bali and detailed transaction outcomes for individual Bali UMKM at KKI 2026 were not provided in the articles consulted. The available coverage focused instead on participation numbers, sectoral breakdowns, programme content and national sales aggregates.
