Bima Police Arrest Four Suspects in Armed Methamphetamine Case

Bima — Police in Bima regency arrested four men suspected of dealing crystal methamphetamine and carrying improvised firearms and blades after stopping a silver Suzuki APV in Tente village, Woha district, on Friday evening, 18 September 2026, according to the regency police narcotics unit as reported by local media.

The suspects were identified by the police only by their initials as SR, 39; AM, 26; HS, 39; and FM, 29, local outlets reported, citing information from the Bima Police narcotics unit chief Inspector M Fikri Dafa Alfares.

According to those reports, officers from the Bima Police narcotics unit intercepted the vehicle at around 8 p.m. Central Indonesia Time after receiving information from residents about suspected drug activity involving a car in Tente village.

Reported items seized

Police said the four men and the seized items were taken to the Bima Police narcotics unit for further questioning.

Local media, quoting police, reported that the evidence seized from the operation included:

• 0.90 grams of substance described by police as crystal methamphetamine;
• one improvised firearm;
• four live rounds of ammunition;
• between four and five bladed weapons, with one report specifying five blades;
• three mobile phones;
• one silver Suzuki APV; and
• Rp800,000 in cash.

Inspector Fikri was quoted as saying the investigation is continuing to determine each suspect’s alleged role in drug distribution within the Bima Police jurisdiction.

According to the police account carried in local reports, SR told investigators that the suspected methamphetamine, improvised firearm and ammunition belonged to him, and he identified a man with the initials FD from Sumbawa regency as the alleged supplier of the drugs.

Police description of SR’s background

Police described SR, a resident of Tolouwi village in Monta district, Bima, as a repeat offender who had previously been convicted in a 2014 murder case and is currently on a wanted list in a separate theft case, referred to by police as “Curat,” or theft with aggravating circumstances.

Local reports also cited police as saying that AM is from Tolouwi village; HS is from SP2 in Plampang district, Sumbawa regency; and FM is from Renda village in Belo district, Bima regency.

All four men remain suspects and are entitled to due process under Indonesian law. The police statements reported in the media describe allegations that have yet to be tested in court, and the outlets did not report that prosecutors had filed formal charges or that a court had ruled on the case.

According to the police version of events reported by local outlets, the case began with information from residents who observed suspected drug activity involving a car in Woha district.

Police said they followed up the tip, carried out surveillance, then stopped the silver Suzuki APV in Tente village on Friday night and arrested the four men inside.

After the arrests, officers reported bringing the suspects and the seized items to the Bima Police narcotics unit headquarters for further examination and processing.

As of the accounts published on Saturday, 19 September 2026, investigators were still determining the suspects’ roles and their alleged links to drug distribution networks in the regency.
