Denpasar — Bali is forecast to have light rain on Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, while eight regencies face a warning for moderate to heavy rain from 08:00 WITA (UTC+8) that day until 08:00 WITA on Saturday, Oct. 31, according to the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG).
The warning covers Badung, Bangli, Buleleng, Gianyar, Klungkung, Karangasem, Jembrana and Tabanan. Separately, BMKG forecasts waves of up to 2.5 metres in the waters south of Bali. The conditions may pose risks to ferry vessels when winds reach 21 knots and to fishing boats when winds reach 15 knots and waves reach 1.25 metres.
Why the alert matters to Bali travellers
For foreign visitors and residents, the forecast means that rain may affect travel across much of the island and that sea crossings and fishing operations in southern waters may face more difficult conditions. The warning is a forecast, not a closure notice: the reports do not state that airports, roads, ports or ferry routes have been shut.
BMKG’s islandwide forecast calls for light rain, with temperatures ranging from 19 to 32 degrees Celsius. Winds are expected from the east to southeast at 4 to 35 kilometres per hour. In the waters north of Bali, waves are forecast at 0.5 to 1.5 metres, compared with 0.5 to 2.5 metres in the south.
The eight-regency warning is valid for the 24-hour period beginning at 08:00 WITA on Oct. 30. The reports do not state any further action or later update beyond the forecast period.
