Jakarta — Bank Syariah Indonesia said its sustainable-financing portfolio reached Rp78.6 trillion by the end of June 2026, equal to about 23 percent of its total financing, and that it included a Rp1.56 trillion sustainability-linked facility for the Bali Mandara Toll Road.
The bank’s figures were reported by local business media and matched disclosures cited in market coverage of the lender’s first-half 2026 results. The sustainable-financing total was broken down into Rp17.4 trillion of green financing and Rp61.2 trillion of social financing.
BSI’s deputy president director, Bob Tyasika Ananta, said the bank had made sustainability-linked financing part of its business strategy and described the Bali Mandara facility as a first for the local market, according to reporting on the company’s presentation. The facility was arranged with PT Jasamarga Bali Tol, the operator of the Nusa Dua–Ngurah Rai–Benoa toll road in Bali.
Bali Mandara financing
Jasa Marga’s Bali toll-road subsidiary said the financing was worth Rp1.56 trillion and was intended for investment in the road asset, with part of the proceeds also earmarked for refinancing shareholder loans, according to a disclosure cited in business reporting.
The transaction was described as a sustainability-linked financing structure, meaning the terms are tied to agreed sustainability performance, although the exact indicators and pricing adjustments were not detailed in the reports reviewed.
BSI also reported sustainable sukuk issuance of Rp8 trillion and said its broader sustainability programme included reverse vending machines, electric vehicles and emissions tracking. The bank said its social and inclusion financing continued to expand alongside its environmental lending.
In the first half of 2026, BSI reported net profit of Rp4.16 trillion, up 11.08 percent from a year earlier, while third-party funds rose to Rp393 trillion and total financing increased to Rp340 trillion.
Broader results
The lender also said its macroprudential inclusive financing ratio stood at 33.65 percent, above the regulator’s minimum threshold of 30 percent. It reported gross and net non-performing financing ratios of 1.8 percent and 0.33 percent, respectively.
BSI said its ziswaf distributions reached Rp372.6 billion in the first half of the year, supporting economic, education, religious outreach, health and humanitarian programmes. The bank said those humanitarian programmes reached 578,690 beneficiaries.
