Gianyar Regency Government Centre — The Gianyar regency government held the main consecration ceremonies for its new government centre on 19 October 2026, as part of preparations to begin using the complex as the district’s administrative centre.

Why it matters: The new complex is being prepared to become Gianyar’s administrative centre after the religious sequence concludes with the Nyineb ceremony on 24 October 2026.

The ceremony included Rsigana, Mlaspas, Mendem Pedagingan, Ngenteg Linggih and Tawur Balik Sumpah at the complex’s Padmasana, according to Tempo and Bali Puspa News. The rituals were intended to spiritually purify the government centre and its shrines before the complex is formally used.

Regent I Made Mahayastra took part in the Mendem Pedagingan ceremony alongside Deputy Regent Anak Agung Gde Mayun, Regional Secretary I Gusti Bagus Adi Widhya Utama and other district officials, the reports said.

The wider religious sequence began on 16 October 2026 with Nuasen, Ngunggahan Sunari and Ngetegan ceremonies. Ngingsah and Nyangling followed on 17 October, while the Mendak Tirta procession took place on 18 October.

The next stage is scheduled for 20 October, when Ida Bhatara will be ceremonially brought from the former regent’s office and installed at the new centre. A procession at the former office will also take place, according to the reports.

The sequence is due to reach its piodalan peak on 21 October and conclude with the Nyineb ceremony on 24 October.
