Selat piodalan becomes forum for appeal on shrine and village-centre upgrades

Mangupura — A piodalan ceremony at Pura Alas Angker and Pura Alas Arum in Selat Village, Abiansemal, Badung, reached its peak on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, and became a forum for local customary leaders to request support from the Badung regency government for improving village-centre shrine complexes and public facilities, according to local media reports.

His comments indicated broad policy support for temple infrastructure, but did not announce a specific timetable or binding budget allocation for the requested village-centre improvements in Selat.

The ceremony therefore linked two local priorities: maintaining the cycle of Hindu religious observances at Pura Alas Angker and Pura Alas Arum, and seeking a longer-term plan for the spaces and public facilities surrounding the temple complexes. While the immediate ritual needs were met through community contributions, Desa Adat Selat used the occasion to advocate for public-sector backing for future physical enhancements to its core village and temple areas.
