Buleleng The Sudaji Peace Trail Fun Run 2026 drew 144 runners to Sudaji village in Sawan, Buleleng, on Sunday, Sept. 20, according to local government and regional media reports. The six-kilometre event combined trail running with village tourism, environmental activity and promotion of organic agriculture.

RRI reported that the event marked World Peace Day and positioned Sudaji as an eco-agritourism destination, with runners crossing rice fields and subak landscapes while promoting environmental protection and local micro, small and medium enterprises. The report said the start was attended by Bali provincial and Buleleng officials, including the provincial tourism agency head representing the governor, as well as the deputy regent of Buleleng.

Balipost likewise reported that the race featured hundreds of participants on a route of about six kilometres through Sudaji’s rural landscape. It said the programme was intended to introduce the village’s natural attractions, agriculture and community life to visitors.

The event also included environmental and community elements, according to RRI. Participants took part in eco-enzyme activities, tree planting and an opening of a local UMKM market, alongside a declaration promoting a plastic-reduced and organic-focused village.

Officials used the occasion to promote sport tourism as a way to support residents without harming Bali’s environment and cultural systems. In remarks carried by RRI, the provincial government linked that approach to Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali, the island’s development philosophy that stresses harmony among nature, people and culture.

Buleleng Deputy Regent Gede Supriatna praised Sudaji’s tourism-awareness group and farmer organisations for initiating the run, while event organiser Ketut Susana said the first edition was meant to introduce the village gradually through jogging and fitness tourism, according to the same report. He also said the six-kilometre course represented only a small part of Sudaji’s tourism potential.
