Bali — — Bali Culinary and Pastry School (BCPS) has marked its 10th anniversary with a series of events highlighting its role in training Indonesian culinary talent for the hospitality industry in Bali, across Indonesia and overseas, according to the school and partner organisations.

BCPS, located inside the Bali International Training and Development Centre (BITDeC) campus in Pantai Nyanyi, Tabanan, is part of the Nyanyi Bali Group and specialises in professional culinary and pastry bakery education.

The school was founded in 2016 with an initial cohort of six students and has since grown into what several industry and institutional profiles describe as one of Bali’s respected professional schools for culinary and pastry arts.

Ten-year milestone and anniversary event

BCPS states that it marked its 10-year anniversary on 12 February 2026 at a graduation ceremony for its final-year cohort of 65 students, held on campus in Bali.

In its anniversary note, the school describes the milestone year as being framed by the theme “A Decade of Culinary Education, Opportunity and Stewardship”, with a series of events planned to bring together industry partners, international collaborators and BCPS students.

An earlier overview from Nyanyi Bali, published ahead of the anniversary, also notes that BCPS is approaching its 10th anniversary in February 2026 and positions the occasion as a moment of reflection on a decade of culinary education and opportunity.

Growth, student profile and graduate outcomes

BCPS and affiliated organisations report that since its establishment in 2016 the school has trained more than 1,000 students through full-time and short-course programmes, with participants drawn from over 66 cities in Indonesia and 10 countries.

According to an industry feature and event information, BCPS’s graduates and students have gone on to work in hotels, high-end restaurants, artisan bakeries and entrepreneurial ventures across Indonesia and beyond.

Programme materials and partner profiles state that internships are embedded in BCPS’s long-duration programmes, including placements of up to six months at luxury five-star hotels in Bali and other hospitality venues, providing hands-on industry experience.

Programmes and industry focus

BCPS offers professional chef and pastry bakery programmes of 12 to 18 months, combining predominantly practical training with theory aligned to industry needs, alongside shorter courses for a wider age range of participants.

School and group profiles emphasise an industry-led curriculum designed to prepare students for global culinary careers, including roles in Michelin-starred restaurants, luxury hospitality and independent culinary enterprises, with English used as part of daily learning and professional practice.

The school and media reports describe BCPS as maintaining collaborations with local and international establishments for internships and career pathways, though detailed lists of partner employers are not specified in the available public material.

New initiatives linked to the anniversary

As part of its tenth-year milestone, BCPS has announced plans to launch the Bali Chocolatier Pâtissier Professional School, a new programme focusing on origin-driven pastry and chocolate craftsmanship that emphasises flavour and character from source regions.

Nyanyi Bali and BCPS describe this initiative as an expansion of the school’s educational pathways into specialised pastry and chocolate disciplines, intended to deepen skills in a segment of the culinary industry with growing international demand.

Institutional statements also link BCPS’s work to a broader ecosystem at Nyanyi Bali focused on long-term stewardship, cultural continuity and professional training, positioning culinary education as part of the island’s tourism and hospitality development.
