Singaraja — Queues at several fuel stations in Buleleng were expected to ease within one to two days as distribution from the Manggis depot recovered, the latest report said on Oct. 15. Officials also confirmed that no general restriction on fuel purchases was in force.

The disruption was attributed to delayed deliveries rather than an overall shortage. The Buleleng Regency Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Office monitored four fuel stations and found services operating relatively normally, although vehicle lines remained visible at some locations.

Why it matters to readers

For foreign residents and visitors travelling through northern Bali, the report means delays may continue at individual stations while deliveries are restored. The reported absence of a general purchase restriction does not remove the separate requirements for fuel bought in jerry cans: eligible groups, including farmers, fishers, micro and small-business operators and artisans, must follow applicable rules and hold recommendations where required.

The latest account linked the disruption to delayed supply from the Manggis depot in Karangasem over the preceding two days. Dewa Made Sudiarta, head of Buleleng’s Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Office, said queues could persist until supplies had fully recovered and that improvement depended on the smooth movement of fuel from the depot.

A separate report said Buleleng officials had assured residents that subsidized and nonsubsidized fuel stocks remained safe. It likewise described monitoring at four stations and said deliveries from Manggis were expected to help restore normal distribution within one to two days.

That timetable depended on deliveries reaching the stations. The reports did not state that all queues had ended, only that conditions were expected to improve as distribution resumed.
