Denpasar — Bali recorded 3.276 cases of violence against women and children from 2020 through Oct. 19, 2026, with Denpasar accounting for the highest total at 1.328 cases, according to data from the Online Information System for the Protection of Women and Children, known as SIMFONI PPA.
The figures were reported on Oct. 22, 2026, using data current through Oct. 19. Children made up 2.052 of the provincial cases, or 62,64 percent, while women accounted for 1.224 cases, or 37,36 percent.
Why the figures matter to Bali residents and visitors
The data describes reported cases involving women and children across Bali, rather than a measure limited to foreign residents or visitors. For people living in or visiting the province, it provides a picture of how reported violence was distributed by location and affected group.
Denpasar led the list with 1.328 cases. Other reported totals included 399 cases in Buleleng, 338 in Tabanan, 325 in Gianyar, 312 in Badung, 178 in Jembrana, 168 in Karangasem, 118 in Bangli and 110 in Klungkung.
The report said the number of cases fluctuated from year to year. In 2026 through Oct. 19, Bali recorded 354 cases, including 147 involving women and 207 involving children. Psychological violence was among the prominent forms recorded in the 2026 data for women.
