Badung — Gov. I Wayan Koster said Bali recorded 5,2 million international tourist visits from January through Sept. 30, 2026, and projected between 7,1 million and 7,2 million visits for the full year during an ASITA Bali meeting in Jimbaran on Oct. 16.
The projection, based on data presented by the Bali provincial government, would exceed the 7,05 million international visits recorded in 2025. Koster said the January-to-September figure was higher than the comparable period in 2025.
Bali’s 2026 projection points to sustained foreign-tourist demand
For foreign visitors and businesses that depend on tourism, the figures indicate that international arrivals remain central to Bali’s economy. The projection describes expected visits, not a new entry rule, visa measure or change in travel requirements. It also counts visits rather than unique foreign travelers.
The event took place on Friday, Oct. 16, 2026.
The reported 5,2 million visits cover the period from January through Sept. 30, 2026. The governor linked the full-year estimate to the available arrival data and said Bali’s total could surpass the previous year’s result. The figures provide a snapshot of tourism performance through the third quarter and a forecast for the remaining months of 2026.
