Bali — — Sensatia is marking 25 years in Indonesia’s beauty industry with a refreshed brand identity that simplifies its name, updates its logo and packaging, and publicly organises its sustainability efforts around three pillars: Clean Ingredients, Clean Environment and Clean Business, according to coverage in NOW! Bali and other regional media.

The Bali-born natural skincare and personal-care company, founded in Karangasem, Bali, has streamlined its public name from Sensatia Botanicals to simply Sensatia as part of the transformation.

According to NOW! Bali and other lifestyle outlets, the new visual identity is intended to present a more contemporary and inclusive image while maintaining the brand’s positioning around clean beauty and sustainability.

Brand evolution built on three pillars

Multiple reports describe the rebrand as grounded in three articulated priorities: Clean Ingredients, Clean Environment and Clean Business.

Under the Clean Ingredients pillar, Sensatia positions its products around natural formulations and the avoidance of certain chemicals, with media citing company claims that its range is free from parabens, sulfates, silicones, palm oil, synthetic dyes and artificial fragrance, and aligned with GMP, BPOM and halal requirements.

The Clean Environment pillar is supported by several measurable initiatives. According to NOW! Bali and independent lifestyle coverage, Sensatia reports having recycled more than 65,000 empty bottles through its in-store “Bring Back Your Empties” programme, while solar panels supply close to 70% of energy needs at its production facilities in Bali.

Media also link the brand’s sustainability messaging to its workforce and community engagement. Reports state that more than 60% of Sensatia’s employees come from Karangasem, the regency where the company began, and that the brand runs activities such as beach and temple clean-ups and blood donation drives in cooperation with local organisations.

From Bali roots to wider appeal

The third pillar, Clean Business, refers to workplace and governance policies. Lifestyle and business outlets report that Sensatia implements a profit-sharing programme that distributes a portion of company profits to all employees as a form of recognition and support for staff welfare.

Several sources emphasise that the rebrand is intended to help the Bali-based company connect with a broader, potentially global audience while retaining its Bali roots and sustainability narrative.

The simplified name, redesigned logo and updated packaging are being rolled out progressively. Sensatia’s own communications and regional lifestyle coverage note that refreshed store designs and packaging are being introduced in stages across Indonesia, with the outlet at Lippo Mall Nusantara in Jakarta cited as one of the first locations to showcase the new look.

Articles profiling the transformation highlight that the brand’s identity change is framed as an evolution of its long-standing commitment to clean beauty rather than a departure from its existing positioning.

Context in Indonesia’s beauty industry

Sensatia’s 25-year milestone situates the company among Indonesia’s established beauty and personal-care brands rooted in Bali’s natural and wellness-oriented image.

Reports describe the rebrand as a response to consumers who are increasingly selective about skincare and personal-care products, with a growing preference for offerings they perceive as safe, transparent and environmentally responsible.

While the company’s communications and media coverage provide headline figures on bottle recycling, solar energy use and local employment, they offer fewer details on areas such as specific product certifications across markets, the exact mechanics of the profit-sharing scheme, and the full impact of packaging changes on refills and recyclability.

For investors and consumers, those programmes and metrics form the basis of Sensatia’s clean beauty narrative as it seeks to translate its Bali-based operations and identity into broader market appeal.
