Denpasar — Bali’s Catur Laba, Kala Angin and Kala Upa calendar entries set activity guidance for Sunday, October 11, according to reports by Bali Post and Radar Bali.
The daily guidance matters for readers who use Bali’s traditional calendar when planning customary, household, agricultural, or business activities. Both reports publish the same set of classifications for the date.
Under the Catur Laba classification, travel toward the north is listed as suitable. The same classification also identifies Manusa Yadnya and Pitra Yadnya ceremonies as appropriate activities for the day.
The Kala Angin entry concerns work with animals. It marks the day as suitable for beginning instruction or training involving cattle, buffaloes, horses, and other livestock.
Kala Upa provides a separate livestock-related indication. It lists the start of acquiring or caring for livestock as suitable. The two entries therefore address different actions: training animals and beginning their care.
The calendar also lists restrictions
The guidance is not a blanket recommendation for every activity. Under Carik Walangati, Bali Post and Radar Bali list weddings, cremations, and house construction among activities considered unsuitable for the date.
Kala Mangap classifies shopping as unsuitable, while Kala Temah says the date is not suitable for choosing an auspicious day. These restrictions appear alongside the positive entries and should be read as part of the full daily list.
The reports also identify farming-related activities. Pamacekan lists work in fields or dry land and making a fishing spear as suitable, while marking ritual activity as unsuitable. Pepedan identifies opening new agricultural land as suitable but advises against making iron tools.
Sedana Yoga lists making tools or places for trade and starting sales as suitable. Titibuwuk, meanwhile, is described as suitable for efforts related to removing illness attributed to harmful influence, while important new work, travel, and making stairs are listed as unsuitable.
Bali Post explains that ala ayuning dewasa is used to assess whether a date is considered more or less suitable for particular activities. Its report says the calculation draws on elements of the traditional calendar and advises consultation with local customary authorities for rituals or major decisions.
The entries are cultural calendar guidance rather than a weather forecast, legal instruction, or guarantee of an outcome. Readers planning ceremonies or major family decisions may need advice that reflects local practice and the specific circumstances of their community.
