Bali’s economy is growing, but the clearest official explanation is that growth is being supported by several service-linked industries rather than one single business source. Bank Indonesia reported Bali’s economy grew 5.82% year on year in 2025, while new jobs were recorded particularly in transport, accommodation and food services, trade and construction, according to Bank Indonesia, 2026.

How fast did Bali’s economy grow?

Bali’s economy grew 5.82% year on year in 2025, up from 5.48% in 2024, according to Bank Indonesia’s Bali economic report published in February 2026. The same report said the economy grew 5.86% year on year in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Which industries are adding jobs?

Bank Indonesia said the largest increases in employment were recorded in transport, accommodation and food services, trade and construction, according to Bank Indonesia, 2026. Its earlier August 2025 report also identified agriculture among the sectors contributing to employment gains in the period to February 2025.

What does this mean for businesses and investors?

The figures point to an economy whose expansion is connected to tourism-related services, movement of people and goods, commerce and building activity. They do not, by themselves, show that growth or employment is distributed evenly across Bali’s districts or businesses.

What is the outlook for 2026?

Bank Indonesia projected Bali’s 2026 economic growth in a range of 5.4% to 6.2% year on year in its February 2026 report. The projection is an outlook, not a recorded result, and should be distinguished from the 2025 growth figure.

BPS also maintains official Bali economic-growth and labour-statistics tables, including annual gross regional domestic product by industry and labour data, according to BPS-Statistics Indonesia Bali Province, 2026. Those datasets provide the statistical basis for assessing sector performance and employment beyond the headline growth rate.
