Mangupura — Drivers in Bali could use mobile services to renew SIM A and SIM C licences on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026. The units operated in six regencies and cities: Denpasar, Badung, Bangli, Jembrana, Klungkung and Tabanan.

Police units scheduled the one-day mobile renewal services at locations across the island. Applicants needed a photocopy of an electronic identity card, a photocopy of a still-valid licence, and health and psychological certificates. The service was for renewing existing SIM A and SIM C licences, not for issuing a first Indonesian licence.

For a foreign resident or visitor, the reported requirements describe the documents and fees required by the Indonesian service but do not state whether a passport or foreign licence can replace the listed Indonesian identity-card requirement.

Why the Bali service matters to drivers

The listed government fee was Rp80,000 (about US$5) for SIM A, the car licence, and Rp75,000 (about US$5) for SIM C, the motorcycle licence. Additional charges were Rp35,000 (about US$2) for a health test and Rp60,000 (about US$4) for a psychological test. Fees could differ when testing was conducted at another health facility.

Locations and hours varied by police unit. Badung offered services at the Dalung fire station, east of Dalung Market, and the Badung Public Service Mall from 08.00 WITA until completion. Denpasar operated at the Denpasar Public Service Mall from 09.00 WITA until completion. Klungkung operated in front of the Klungkung Regent's Office from 09.00 WITA until completion.

Bangli's service was at Kintamani Market from 09.00 to 12.30 WITA. Jembrana's was at Pergung Field from 08.00 WITA until completion, while Tabanan's was at the Tabanan Public Service Mall from 08.00 WITA until completion.
