Bangli — Fifteen applicants for the Bali Provincial Regional Child Protection Commission, or KPAD, for the 2026–2031 term took the first written test on Monday, Oct. 5. The next stage, a psychological test, is scheduled for 9 a.m. WITA on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Mahasanti Mahottama Mental Hospital in Bangli.

The 15 applicants were among 23 people who applied and had passed the administrative screening. The written test was the first stage of the qualitative selection process and was held at the Bali Social Affairs, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Office. The test began at 9:30 a.m. WITA and lasted 90 minutes.

Why the selection matters to foreign residents

KPAD is a regional child-protection body. Its selection is relevant to foreign residents and visitors because the commission's work concerns child protection in Bali, including cases and public institutions involving children. The reports describe the process rather than announce a new rule affecting foreigners directly.

The psychological assessment is the second qualitative stage. It is being conducted by the psychological-testing team from Mahasanti Mahottama Mental Hospital in Bali Province, which is located in Bangli. The written-test and psychological-test results will be used by the selection committee to determine the 10 leading candidates.

The selection covers the 2026–2031 term. The reports state that 15 candidates took the written test after passing administrative selection; they do not identify the applicants in the report lead.
