Denpasar — PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi Bali scheduled electricity-network maintenance in parts of Denpasar and Badung on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, with temporary interruptions possible during the work.
The maintenance is being carried out by PLN, Indonesia’s state electricity company, as part of network work in the operating area of PLN’s Bali Selatan Customer Service Implementation Unit. The listed locations include Jalan Gatot Subroto Tengah, Jalan Tangkuban Perahu, Jalan Buana Raya and parts of Mengwi in Badung Regency.
Why the maintenance matters to Bali residents and visitors
For residents, businesses and visitors in the affected areas, the planned work means electricity may be unavailable temporarily while crews carry out technical operations.
The notice covers both Denpasar and Mengwi rather than a citywide outage. Its location references point to selected roads and surrounding areas, so the effect depends on the local distribution network serving each address. People staying in accommodation, working from offices or operating shops in those areas may therefore experience a short interruption even if nearby streets retain power.
PLN said the maintenance and distribution-network strengthening require operational adjustments or load management. The purpose described in the notice is to support the reliability of electricity supplies. The reports do not describe a broad emergency outage or provide evidence that all of Denpasar or Badung will lose power.
Because technical conditions can alter the timetable, the published schedule should be treated as subject to change. PLN’s Bali distribution unit is identified as the source of the notice, while the reports direct the public to official PLN announcements for the latest information.
